Dear readers, Chinese New Year will be here this Sunday.
I believe many of you are busy preparing for Chinese New Year, be it the annual Spring cleaning, buying of Chinese Goodies and preparing for Chinese New Year.
By right, just before Chinese New Year every year, I would have applied for a number of leaves (almost a week) to stay at home and do spring cleaning and preparing for Chinese New Year. However, this time round, I am really busy at work due to an important work assignment. This assignment has me working for more than 12 hours most days (yes, that’s right overtime) for the recent months. Not just on weekdays but weekends as well. The workload has really exhausted me and I have technically not taken many leaves these months due to the need to rush and rush at work.
And hence, my confession for Chinese New year this year: I have not done much Chinese New Year spring cleaning, and I would see whether I can just do my best to see what little spring cleaning I can do before the Chinese New Year.
And a surprise discovered yesterday. Queued up a little to exchange Chinese New Year $50 notes (as all $10 notes have been exchanged), only to find out that I have used up the maximum of three withdrawals for Chinese New Year notes per customer per card. I thought the threshold is three withdrawals a day! I would need to use other methods to get more notes for my Ang Baos.
I would however be Grateful for any Chinese New Year experiences and wish Everyone Health and Joy in the Year of the Water Rabbit!
