Dear readers, the latest Singapore Savings Bonds, SBDEC 23, GX23120Z, Singapore Dec 2023 Savings Bonds is now open for applications!
In my earlier post, I have projected a 3.10% to 3.20% per annum interest rate for the average 10-year holding period.
I was wrong. Instead, the average 10-year interest rate of GX23120Z, Singapore Dec 2023 Savings Bonds has an average return of 3.40% over 10 years.
Let us take a look at the year-to-year interest rate of the Dec 23 Singapore Savings Bonds, as follows:
Year 1 to Year 6: 3.30% per annum
Year 7: 3.36%
Year 8: 3.58%
Year 9 to Year 10: 3.68% per annum
3.40% per annum in average interest rate over the next 10 years is a very decent interest rate.
I suggest savers lock up this good interest rate since it is not always that high interest rates are with us. Let us secure good high interest rates while they are still here!
