Dear readers, today is the first day of Year 2023 and the first day of the implementation of 8% Singapore Goods and Services Tax (GST)!
Yes, that’s right! With effect from today, the Singapore GST will be revised to 8% from the previous 7%.
Yesterday, I was wondering what is the first item that I would pay the 8% GST for and at this point of writing, I have already had the answer as I have already paid the 8% GST.
The accolade of the first 8% GST that I paid for, goes to none other than a take-away family lunch from McDonalds!
For an auspicious start to a brand new year, I suggested the Prosperity meal set from McDonalds and with this, my first 8% GST item goes to McDonalds Prosperity meal!
I wish All readers a Prosperous New Year 2023, with Prosperity meal in my stomach!
