Dear readers, today is the last work day of Year 2022 and it was good that my organisation has had a half-day off for employees. That means to say, staff can work until noon and off they go for a super long weekend into a brand new year 2023!
However, this half-day off has had no effect on me as I worked until 3pm today at a hectic pace as usual. And I would also be doing or clearing work over the long weekend into the new year.
It is not that I choose to work but work has become so hectic that I have to work at after work hours to clear my workload. Work has become so hectic and so diverse for me in recent years but I always choose to take it in my stride and focus on the task and trying to learn as much as possible. I am also Grateful to be given an opportunity to contribute to the organisation.
I believe I have the grit and determination to do the hard work, go the extra mile because one of the values that I believe in is Working Hard or Diligence But amidst working hard, another of my value is on leading a Balanced Life. And it is hence not that difficult that despite my hectic work schedule, I will find time for my family, like bringing my kids for a hike in one of the nature parks here.
Life is not a bed of roses. Life has its ups and downs for many. My values serve as a compass for me to navigate life and try my best to lead life to the fullest.
One of my other values is Personal Growth and I believe it is important for everyone to Grow in every possible way. Learn anything, big or small and the growth will only be valuable to one’s journey on earth.
So as we enter a brand new year, I wish you can make life focused on your values and priorities and have a balanced life. Be Happy and Be Healthy. Happy New Year Everyone!
