Dear readers, how time flies! World Cup 2022 has now entered the Semi-Finals stage! And if you have been sleeping very late like myself, catching the World Cup matches be it at home or outside of home, I hope you have caught up with some well-deserved rest!
When it comes to the World Cup, it is common for individuals here to bet for their favourite teams (I mean legal bet here). It is also very common for individuals to wager for traditionally strong teams. But as this World Cup has shown, the adage “The Ball is Round” is true as traditionally strong teams like Belgium, Germany, Spain, Brazil bowed out one after another from World Cup.
Every World Cup, I like to join the excitement by placing a little bet. And as I have learnt from my previous bets, “The Ball is Round”, hence, this World Cup, I have placed my bets on teams which are considered the underdogs, not just because the odds are high but I really like the whole narrative of underdogs defying general expectations and rise to become much bigger than what they are.
The odds of betting on some of the underdog teams in the previous matches of this World Cup are high, ranging from 5.5 to 8.5. For this World Cup, I have deployed my monies to just betting on the teams considered the underdogs. Definitely, being called underdogs is not without justifications, hence I have definitely lost some bets. But for the bets which I have won, by virtue of the high odds, I am able to recover the monies that I have lost at the other bets so that collectively, I am still able to gain a net profit on my legal bet in this World Cup so far!
And one of the teams that has helped me achieved the highest gains is the Altas Lions: Morocco! , one of the teams which I have supported right from the start of the World Cup! May Morocco continue to advance to their fullest potential in the Semi-Finals!
