Dear readers, Wireless@SGX is such a free and convenient internet service that anyone with a mobile phone in Singapore could download and use for free to access the internet here. I am a frequent user of Wireless@SGX and through this service, I manage to use less of my mobile data plan and I would like to think that I save some monies during this process.
Once a user downloads the Wireless@SGX app onto his phone, one could tap onto good broadband internet for free without needing to register for a password. That is how convenient Wireless@SGX is. Hence when recently I experienced problems in using the Wireless@SGX already downloaded on my phone to the effect that I need to key in a password, I was quite surprised and sought to find a solution on the internet.
But there was no solution on the internet that I could find. I had no choice but to use my engineering skills to debug on the troubleshooting myself. After some time, I found the solution! It was a simple solution: just make sure that on your Wireless@SGX login webpage, you choose “SIM” (which means SIM card) so as to log in to the internet without needing a password. I discovered somehow that this “SIM” setting was toggled to another configuration which require a password that should not be the case.
Hence I hope this post will help you if you experience problems on Wireless@SGX. Hopefully, you could troubleshoot the problems based on the solution which I have just described.
