Dear readers, US stocks markets closed yesterday’s trading session higher. Dow Jones was up 0.29%, S&P 500 closed 0.28% higher and NASDAQ composite ended the trading day with a 0.63% gain. However, if you were like myself looking at the US stocks trading session yesterday, you would know that the session has been a very volatile one.
This was because, all three US stock market indices were down significantly lower at the start of the trading session. For instance, NASDAQ was down more than 4% lower earlier in the trading session. And reasons for the bearish moves of the stock markets were due to the developments surrounding Ukraine and investors keeping tab on the US Federal Reserves’ meeting this week. Despite the earlier bearish moves of the stock markets, the US indices still managed to close higher yesterday.
One takeaway from yesterday’s US stocks markets trading was that the markets were not only volatile but they have become more unpredictable.
