Dear readers, how time flies! The first trading week of Feb 2021 is over and soon all of us will be ushering in the Chinese New Year. Let us take a look at the top three Straits Times Index (STI) winners for the week (ended 5 Feb 2021).
The top three STI winners (in terms of weekly price change) are as follows:
1) Genting Singapore (2.34%)
2) SATS (2.08%)
3) ST Engineering (1.89%)
On the other side of the spectrum, we have the worst three performing STI for the week as follows:
- HongKong Land Holdings (-1.94%)
- Capitaland Holdings (-1.87%)
- YangZiJiang Shipbuilding Holdings (-1.52%)
The Straits Times Index closed at 2,907.11 yesterday (5 Feb 2021) and the near term resistance for the index is decidedly at 3,000.
