Dear readers, wishing you a Good Friday and a long weekends ahead!
Just a few days ago, I posted an article entitled “Tom K went back to office and was totally shocked at this” and I hope you have enjoyed that article. If not, feel free to revisit the article once more.
Yesterday, I went back to office again (while mainly working from home for the week still). As shared with readers, in the course of my work, I moved around the different installations and this time around, my lunch brought me to a canteen in an industrial estate.
The canteen was crowded and some of the popular stalls had long queues. I settled on a Nasi Bryani stall and before ordering and noted that the brani meal cost $5.50 which seems reasonable for me as it is a normal price for this dish.
When my Nasi Brani arrived, I was surprised that the stall owner, in a kind gesture charged me for the Nasi Brani at $5 only. This simple and kind act was all the more appreciated in an environment of high inflation and high costs of living.
