SINGAPORE WEATHER AND ECONOMICAL RICE: WHERE IS THE LINK?

Dear readers, I have just eaten a packet of economical rice bought from a neighbourhood mixed vegetables rice stall.

If you have been following my posts, you would have known that recently I have come across rather unjustifiable increase in the price of the economical rice: a $1 increase from $2.90 to $3.90 for typically the same set of dishes. This $1 increase may not amount much but it is approximately a 34% increase in food price.

For today’s lunch, I was quite surprised that my usual combination of meals cost me the original price that I have been paying for at $2.90! I really could not figure out how all the math of economical rice dish price computation comes into about for this stall! I wonder whether different stall assistants have different interpretations of pricings of the dishes. In gist, the price of the economical rice dishes has been unpredictable, like that for Singapore weather in recent days!

These few days, Singapore enjoys rare cooler days though I means that rain comes in unpredictable fashion! I recall just two days ago, I was out and when it suddenly rained so heavily that I rushed back home just to close the windows. Like the price of the economical rice dishes that I experience, Singapore weather has been unpredictable.

The unpredictability of Singapore’s weather and rain might have come into about arising from Climate Change. In a way, Climate change also affects prices of wheats and crops and therefore price of rice and economical rice dishes! Therefore, there is really a technical link between unpredictability of Singapore weather (these days) and price of economical rice (the one that I had)!

That’s it for my insights today.  I Thank you once again for your support of SG STOCKS INVESTING, your Money and Lifestyle magazine! Connect with me here to follow the daily exciting and useful posts on these two blogs, Thank You for your support!
