SINGAPORE STRAITS TIMES INDEX (STI): WEEKLY WINNERS AND LOSERS

Dear readers, let us take a look at the winner and loser Straits Times Index (STI) stocks for the week ended 19 Mar 2021.

For the week, the top five Straits Times Index (STI) stocks with the top weekly gains are below:

1) Singapore Airlines (SIA) stock: 7.55%

2) Keppel DC Reit: 6.25%

3) Ascendas Reit: 5.84%

4) UOL Group stock: 5.25%

5) Venture Corporation stock: 4.65%

SIA stock gained the most for the week likely due to it being a Covid-19 recovery play and the news of talks to set up the travel bubble arrangement between Singapore and Australia.

As for the worst-performing five Straits Times Index (STI) stocks, they are as follows:

1) Thai Beverage stock -1.37%

2) Dairy Farm International Holdings stock -1.55%

3) SGX stock: -1.58%

4) Sembcorp Industries stock: -2.20%

5) HongKong Land stock: -4.26%

It is a normal correction for the worst-performing STI stock of the week (HongKong Land stock) since this stock has already registered 19.9 Year 2021 to-date. Look out for my next post as I shared the top winners and loser STI stocks for Year 2021!
