SINGAPORE STRAITS TIMES INDEX: SNAPSHOT

Dear readers, New Year and Chinese New Year, two important festivals on the Singapore calender are over.

I am not sure whether those of you who are interested to enter into some new investment positions these year, are about to enter the stock market as time seems to fly fast this year with the above two festivals being back to back?

But I would caution that Year 2023 has not shown investors what it has in store. We are just into February and hence do not rush your positions. Notwithstanding that there are signs of interest rates from US stabilizing, there are no reasons to say that stock markets will not crash for other reasons. if necessary, please spread out your investing for this year, do not put all eggs into one basket.

Today’s post is always a favorite for many readers as we track the weekly oversold and overbought Straits Times Index (STI) stocks on the Singapore stocks markets, just to gauge the overall market health of the SGX.
