Dear readers, how time flies! We are now into the second week of January 2022 and are about to welcome in the Chinese New Year. Let us take a look at what you need to know about the Singapore stocks markets this week.
First, before investing in the new year, a brand new year deserves a new wealth management strategy before anything else. And I would also think time management, since at the start of this year, more employees are returning back to office, so much so I asked how has your workload changed so far this year.
And when it comes to investing this year, don’t be too rush to invest your monies at the start of the new year since the stock markets could correct 90% in the eventuality of a stock markets meltdown.
While Singapore is thick in the battle of fighting Covid-19, I thought we will be fighting against haze when a haze-like smell was detected over two days (11 to Jan 2022). The authorities was not able to determine the source of the haze-like smell, while I was also thinking about one stock that used to rally whenever haze was detected in Singapore.
But more significantly, in this week (10 to 14 Jan 2022), investors noted a noteworthy decline of the US stock markets on 13 Jan 2022 when NASDAQ tumbled 2.5%. The decline was mainly attributable to talks of interest rate hikes. With the gradual increase of interest rates, I am of the view that more volatilities will be in store for the stock markets to come.
Last but not least, the Straits Times Index is now overbought with 10 STI constituent stocks equally overbought as well. Find out the 2 oversold STI stocks that are still oversold.
