Dear readers, it is a Sea of Red today for Singapore.
No, sorry, I am not referring to the stocks markets.
I am referring to the scene of people, mainly students wearing red today.
Yes, Singapore’s 56th National Day is next Monday and our island has started celebrations!
This year, though the actual National Day Parade will be held on 21 Aug 21; to me, it does not dampen the mood of our National Day.
National Day this year, notwithstanding many of us could not be physically around the different festive sites, to me, is an occasion for all of us in Singapore to get together, united and stand together as one in the face of Covid-19.
While some have cited Singapore’s fight against Covid-19 can be further improved, I believe if we are to compare our situation with that happening in the neighbouring and other countries, I believe the situation here in Singapore as of now is really much better and I feel Grateful for this! But we must not let our guards down because the current version of the Covid-19 spreads more easily.
Hence, Stay Safe and Healthy! Encourage your family and friends, especially senior citizens to get fully vaccinated if they have not done so.
