Dear readers, every National Day, there will be announcement of Singaporeans and individuals who are awarded the National Day Awards or National Day Awards 2021 for this year.
National Day awards are conferred on individuals who have performed good public service for Singapore. It is hence no wonder that much of the spotlight every year is on the individual who is conferred the highest National Day Award.
Singapore and Singaporeans have gone through much this year under Covid-19 since early 2020. From wearing masks, collecting our Trace Together, undergoing vaccinations, work from home, home-based learning and learning how to adapt to the new normal imposed on our lives by Covid-19.
Hence I am of the opinion that all Singaporeans are recipients of National Day Awards.
Let us salute all of us Singaporeans as One!
