Dear readers, the much-awaited Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC) report is finally released today. With that, many are speculating just when the Singapore General Election GE 2020 will be held. And when will Singapore Polling Day be?
Well, I would think that Singapore will go to the polls by May 2020. The main reason for my thinking is really about timeline. As we know, the next Singapore Election must be held by April 2021 and there is currently no telling just how long the Covid-19 episode will drag on. So, I think the wisest thing will be for the government to have a General Election early so that the Government of the day could then focus all its resources on combating Covid-19 and a possible slowing economy caused by Covid-19.
I am pretty accurate about investments and markets outlook. I am using my analytical views to predict that the next Singapore General Election GE will be held this May 2020.
