Dear readers, I believe the application for Singapore February 2023 Savings Bonds will open soon.
The 10-year average annual yield of the Singapore January 2023 Savings Bonds was 3.26%, which is tad lower than the 10-year average annual yield of 3.47% for the December 2022 tranche.
However, the Singapore January 2023 Savings Bond was still a decent one, compare to the previous tranches of Singapore Savings Bonds as below:
January 2023 Singapore Savings Bonds: 3.26%
December 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 3.47%
November 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 3.21%
October 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 2.75%
September 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 2.80%
August 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 2.88%
July 2022 Singapore Savings Bonds: 2.71%
Given the current interest rates development, I am of the view that Singapore February 2023 Savings Bond will offer an average of 10-year annual yield of 3.2% to 3.3% ; this 10-year annual yield will be nowhere near that of December 2022 Singapore Savings Bond.
We will know whether I am correct on the above soon.
3 Jan 2023 update: The application for Feb 2023 Singapore Savings Bonds is now Open. I was surprised that the 10-year average yield of the Bonds is only 2.97%, much lower than the 3.2% to 3.3% that I estimated; more details here.
