Dear readers, yes, how time really flies!
We are into the final week of Year 2022 and it is definitely timely now to review how Year 2022 has unfolded for us!
I will start the ball rolling, reviewing and sharing with all of you about how my work (yes, that’s right, my full-time work) has been for me this Year 2022.
To understand how my work has been for me this year, I just want to highlight that I have practically worked myself into Christmas this year. Yes, that’s right, working on Christmas eve right into Christmas day this year, on my laptop but, gratefully from the comforts of home.
From my sharing, you can imagine how work Year 2022 has been for me.
Yes, work has been really hectic for me this year. From start of year till now, I have been managing different important assignments, with pressing timelines one after another. In between, I have changed portfolios (once again), quickly learned, picked up new portfolios (most of the time, with very messy or little “handovers” from former colleague) to contribute to the organisation; and guided colleagues on the different portfolios which I managed before.
Work has been very hectic and I have done more overtime work this year than compared to many previous years, but overall, work has been very fulfilling. And, I am also grateful to be given the opportunity to make good contributions to the organisation and also grow in my career.
Despite the heavy demands that work has placed on me, I still tried my humble best to lead a balanced life, spending time with family, on health and personal pursuits. It may be ironic to some that despite hectic schedule, that I trained my body even more (jog, swim, weight training etc). But it is precisely the hectic demand of work that necessities one to have good amount of energy to cope.
My hectic pace at work will continue into the brand new year 2023 and I hope that my energy level will continue to keep up with the demands of work and living in the new year!
