Dear readers, how has your Year 2025 been on the work front?
For myself, work for Year 2025 has commenced on a fast tempo starting into first month of the year.
Not only has there been more and more work with pressing timelines, there has also been staff-related matters to look at.
This has kept me quite occupied on the work front and past working hours.
There has been much emphasis on work life balance and then work life integration but to be frank, in the current environment, I believe for many, work takes centrestage. And for example, I see many returning home late every night, looking tired.
While many companies have adopted technology to enhance business operations, many are also doing more with less (manpower and resources) and employees these days take on more and diverse roles besides just focusing on their work.
At the end of a hectic day, I usually have lesser bandwidth and energy to focus on other aspects of life such as exercise, hobbies and spending time with family, but I try to make an effort.
Making an effort is important so that we try to lead a balanced life in our limited time on earth.
