TOM K’S YEAR TO DATE INVESTMENT PERFORMANCE REVEALED!

Investment Portfolio

Dear readers, I would like to share with you my investment performance year to date for year 2019 in this post. This is because by doing so, I hope you understand more about me as an investor.

For this year, I have been busy buying and selling international stocks from Jan 2019 to May 2019. As referenced by the strategy of Singapore Stocks Investing (this blog) where a small portion of the investment portfolio is invested in potential multi-bagging investment plays (after setting a bulk of the portfolio in the safer STI ETF), investment stocks which I have traded (as shared in the former Singapore Stocks Investing blog then) included stocks like JD.com. Baozun.

Of the $38K or so capital I put in as trade for these stocks, I have made and liquidated $15K from these stocks, representing a Return-On-Investment of about 40%.

Thereafter from May 2019 on till now, I have stopped investing in new positions after looking at the macro environments. Hence I have been busy liquidating some Singapore stocks to continue to build my war chest to scoop down on opportunities when these arise.

It is a fallacy to always assume a stock one has bought as he sees it as a value play is always so. Stocks are nonetheless a testament of how well the management of a company runs the business. Just recall how some previously perceived good stocks like Tiger Airways, Noble Group, Hyflux are doing now.

That’s it for my insights today.  I Thank you once again for your support of SG STOCKS INVESTING, your Money and Lifestyle magazine! Connect with me here to follow the daily exciting and useful posts on these two blogs, Thank You for your support!
