Dear readers, if you are looking on ways to install or download Youtube into your Smart TV at home, you have come to the right place. In this post, I am going to share with you just how to install or download Youtube to your Smart TV.
I think very likely, the Smart TV you have bought came equipped with Youtube already. But if for some reasons, the Youtube app was not installed on your Smart TV, then this post is for you. However, if your Smart TV already came equipped with Youtube, then this post might also be for you. How do I know?
Well, I have had my own experience on the latter. I bought my Smart TV which came with Youtube. Over time, there were some technical problems with the Youtube app (on the TV) which prevented the Youtube shows to be shown. I called up the Smart TV original equipment maker (OEM) and the OEM emailed me a step-by-step guide to solve the problem: by downloading and using another app to watch Youtube videos. I did some studies and have now learnt of ways to extend my Smart TV to other apps if needed.
Okay without further ado, these are the steps to install or download Youtube to Smart TV.
Step 1: On your personal computer, visit this APKLinker link.
Step 2: On the webpage that is shown, click on the version of the Youtube APK file which you would like to download. I recommend the latest version of the Youtube since it should have fixed all bugs or should be the best.
Step 3: Click “Download APK” on the webpage that is shown and download the APK file to a thumb drive. If you have downloaded to your computer local disk, you can always transfer the file to your thumb drive later.
Step 4: Plug in the thumb drive to your Smart TV, select to open the Youtube APK file and press “Install” to install the APK file
Step 5: After installation, there will be a Youtube app installed on your Smart TV. You can now open the Youtube app and enjoy your Youtube shows!
If for some reasons, your Smart TV does not respond or you could not locate the Youtube file in the Smart TV after you plug in the thumb drive containing the Youtube APK file, do not fret. In this case, you would need to download a file manager to your Smart TV first.
To do this, you will need to download “ES File Explorer File Manager”. You can download this on APKLinker too and follow the similar approaches from Step 2 to Step 5.
After the ES File Explorer File Manager has been installed, repeat Steps 1 to 5 again to download the YouTube APK file into your Smart TV. With the ES Files Explorer File Manager installed, at Step 5 above, your Smart TV will work like a computer, showing the contents of your thumb drive once your thumb drive is plugged into the TV.
