Dear readers, it is not everyday that you have colleagues requesting some favours from you.
And as colleagues with one another, it is just normal to try as much to accede to their requests and help them, as much as we could.
As such, it is also not everyday that we will turn down our colleagues’ request too.
Recently, my colleague asked me for something and I turned down my colleague’s request.
What is this request?
Well, this request is something that is something that is not really work-related.
My colleague actually asked me information related to my salary!
While this colleague can be open about his own salary, salaries are still generally confidential and should not be disclosed to colleagues, and this view of mine resonated with what the guidelines of my Human Resources Department too!
