Dear readers, it is quite common that many of us give monthly family allowances to our parents.
Recently, I read of a survey which reports that many seniors are getting lesser allowances from their children.
Lesser allowances could mean two things:
a) one, the actual quantum of the allowances have decreased; and
b) two, the same amount of the allowances are given but the real purchasing power of the same allowances have decreased due to inflation.
Perhaps, it is time to increase the family allowances to our parents now.
