Dear readers, today is the eleventh of November or so called “Eleven Eleven”. On this day annually, there will be so many sales online and offline giving potential customers lots of discounts and promotions. And needless to say, there will be lots of buying. The customers end up with their purchases happily and the companies end up with their great profits!
For me, as a man with simple means, I don’t buy things that I don’t need. And I have few material wants. Hence, if you see me in person, I am always dressed in very cheap but comfortable clothes. And I wear very cheap sandals as well. And for books, I turn to the libraries for free and educational resources to nourish me mentally and spiritually.
Thus, my answer to eleven eleven sales and similar such sales is they I am not the customers for these sales and I make no apologies for this since we are talking about spending of our hard-earned monies right here.
I will encourage all to really focus, before buying anything or any other nice food on the questions of whether do you really need the item? Are you really hungry to eat the next unhealthy but delicious food? From what I have read, some of us eat or shop unnecessary to fill up a certain void in some of us. This certain void can be, trust me, filled up by spending more time with yourself, thinking about the larger questions in life (e.g. who am I, where I was from and where I am going) or spending more time to connect with the flow of life in nature.
Also, just to share, since working from home, I have gained some weight by sitting down for more hours each day. Just few weeks ago, I started reducing my food intake and Bingo, I have lost more than 3Kg and feeling much better in physical health!
Money is a resource that many of us spend our hours working for and let us use it very wisely. Even better, grow your monies with sound investment methods!
