A Downtown South NTUC Resort is likely to be built on Pulau Brani in the future as part of the Greater Southern Waterfront project, as announced by PM Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally 2019 address today.
I welcome the proposed Downtown South NTUC Resort as it will give Singaporeans another potential place of staycation in Singapore. And if the prices are to be similar to the rates by NTUC Downtown East, then it would be another attractive recreational and leisure venue for All of us.
However, what is more significant in PM Lee’s context of Downtown South is the redevelopment of the Greater Southern Waterfront Project for the live, work and play needs of Singapore for the future.
