DISCOVERIES DURING RECENT WALKS TO EXPO AND MARINA SQUARE SHOPPING MALL

Dear readers, because of Covid-19, I have scaled down on most of my outings outdoor, so as to better safeguard the health of myself and family.

In my recent outings, I found myself at Expo and Marina Square shopping mall on different dates. I have not been to these two places for a really long time and hence I would like to share with readers some of my discoveries of these two places in this post, namely new additions to the places there.

At Expo, there was a new large food place outside one of the halls, called timbre+ Eastside @Expo. I went into the food place for a quick look. Despite being a weekend and near meal hours, the food place was empty and there were no customers at all queuing for food at the food stalls. There were only some diners there.

Near the food place, there was a go-kart racing track from KF1 Karting and there, there was slightly more businesses with families in queue to give a try at go-karting.

As for Marina Square Mall, it was relatively quiet when I went there and this was inevitable since many of us are working from home now. What struck me most when I went to Marina Square was how one portion of the Mall (I recalled the portion was previously some kind of retail outlet) was converted into office spaces, for PSB Academy and DP Architect.

What I have discovered for both Expo and Marina Square Shopping mall are, as per what I have thought, a part of the larger narrative of how retail and meeting venues are remaking themselves in the current climate of fewer footfall arising from the pandemic.

That’s it for my insights today.  I Thank you once again for your support of SG STOCKS INVESTING, your Money and Lifestyle magazine! Connect with me here to follow the daily exciting and useful posts on these two blogs, Thank You for your support!
