CHINESE NEW YEAR SPRING CLEANING: DOING MY BEST!

Dear readers, for those of you who celebrate Chinese New Year, how is your Chinese New Year Spring cleaning going along?

For me, I have been hard at work doing the Spring Cleaning for the house, amidst a busy schedule at work.

No matter how busy I am at work, Spring Cleaning is a must for me, as part of the preparations for Chinese New Year.

You see, I am a traditional person and I believe it is only right to continue the practice of cleaning up one’s house for the Chinese New Year.

A clean and tidy house is only auspicious for one when welcoming the good luck, wealth and fortune of a brand new year.

With each celebration of new year, it is inevitable that I grow along with age. Hence, every spring cleaning, I find myself getting more tired with the physical exertions when it comes to spring cleaning: climbing up and down, wiping window grilles and all that needs to be wiped.

And I find myself recycling more and more for the items that are no longer needed. And I feel happy to see recycling bins in my neighbourhoods being filled up to the brim with recyclables. That attests to more of us being more environmentally conscious.

For this upcoming new year, I encourage all of us to buy only what we need, so that we can reduce waste at source. A minimalist lifestyle and a house that is not cluttered will only do wonders for us as they help us focus on what is important in our lives.

Enough for this post right now as I need to continue my spring cleaning!

Let us all Jiayou and do our Best to prepare for the upcoming Year of the Wooden Dragon!
