Will China Evergrande be the next Lehman Brothers moments as a number of commentators have called it?
In 2008, Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy was one of the key moments in the 2008/2009 global financial meltdown.
It has been more than 12 or 13 years since the global financial crisis. Some have said that it may be the time now for the next global financial crisis. I think a number of investors are looking at those events which will trigger the next global financial crisis. It will not be a surprise that China Evergrande’s development will be closely watched in the aforementioned context.
In my opinion, the next financial meltdown is not a whether but a when. I believe the financial meltdown will occur because it is the natural state of things to go down after it has gone up.
