BY23103V 1-YEAR T-BILL: WHAT WILL BE CUT-OFF YIELD?

Dear readers, there will be an upcoming 1-year T-Bill, BY23103V which is good news for all lovers of Singapore’s Treasury Bonds (T-bills)!

1-year T-bills are issued typically every three-monthly, let us look at the some of the more recent 1-year T-bills issued this year.

BY23100X (31 Jan 23 issue date): 3.87% per annum

BY23101W (25 Apr 23 issue date): 3.58% per annum

BY23102N (1 Aug 23 issue date): 3.74% per annum

Key details of BY23103V are as follows:

Auction Date: 19 Oct 2023

Issue Date: 24 Oct 2023

Maturity Date: 22 Oct 2024

With recent 6-month T-bills crossing over the 4% per annum in cut-off rate, expectations are high that the cut-off yield of BY23103V will also cross beyond the 4% per annum mark.

I do think so too and will give a low 4% plus per annum for the annual return of BY23103V.
