Dear readers, there will be a 1-Year One-Year Treasury Bill (T-Bill) coming up with issue code BY23102N.
One-Year Treasury Bills are issued only four times a year. The upcoming BY23102N will have an Auction Date of 27 Jul 23 and an issue date of 1 Aug 23. Maturity date of the T-bill is 30 Jul 24.
BY23102N will be the 3rd issuance of 1-Year T-Bill this year, let us take a look at the cut-off yield for the first two T-Bills this year.
BY23100X (31 Jan 23 issue date): 3.87% per annum
BY23101W (25 Apr 23 issue date): 3.58% per annum
Given the above, a declining trend for cut-off yields of 1-year T-bills this year. With high inflation rates slowing now, I believe the cut-off yield of BY23102N to reach just 3.2% per annum (that is another 0.3% per annum decline).
