Dear readers, we are now going into the second half of December, a month where many employees generally clear their leaves, going overseas and where colleagues typically congregate to celebrate the year-end festivities.
Over and above the aforementioned, December is usually the month of the year where work starts winding down for many employees. However for myself, this December is once again a December that I find myself grappling with overwhelming work so much so that time has become a rare commodity to complete all the outstanding tasks.
Amidst all my other colleagues clearing their leaves and celebrating the year-end festivities, there I am, be it at work or at home, doing my best everyday to finish all the projects, assignments and the never-ending firefighting, like a winter warrior (choosing this phrase as December is associated with winter). And everyday of the week simply zooms by.
While I would be happier if my workload lightens a bit for now, I am grateful to be working and contributing and doing my best everyday in my work.
