20% OVERSUBSCRIBED FOR 3.32% PER ANNUM INTEREST RATES!

Dear readers, the November 2023 Singapore Savings Bonds (SBNov23) closed today.

There was an application amounting to $1.2 billion for the bonds, of which $1 billion of the bonds was allocated. This translates into an oversubscription of 20%.

Applicants who applied for S$47,000 or lower were fully allotted, subject to the individual allotment limits. As for applicants who applied for S$47,500 or higher were allotted either S$47,000 or

The Nov 23 Singapore Savings Bonds returns an average of 3.32% per annum over 10 years. The oversubscription means, in my opinion that savers are looking for decent interest rates for a longer period of time.

Definitely, we should lock in good decent interest rates and for a longer period of time when there is still opportunity to do so.
