Dear readers, before the upcoming closure of Old Airport Road centre in June this year for renovation, I headed down to the hawker centre recently to savour the affordable and great food there.
This is because there is no telling that my favorite food stalls will still be there in the re-opened hawker centre after the renovation as some hawkers may choose to review the updated rent first before deciding whether to continue. Other hawkers may choose to take a break.
After having lor mee, I had the durian ice kachang from Blanco Court Hot & Cold Dessert to cool myself in this sweltering heat.
The durian ice kachang cost a reasonable $2.50, came with generous durian toppings and not so sweet:
