World Vision is an organisation dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice. Working in nearly 100 countries around the world, World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
I donate regularly to World Vision Singapore as I believe it is really meaningful that I could help the needy children and their communities in overseas countries with my money. For example, $100 in Singapore can be easily spent in one shopping and dining outing, but to the needy in overseas countries, your $100 contributes to a new world for them.
What I really like about World Vision Singapore is that you could choose which areas of need you like to contribute to. For example, you could choose to help in any of these areas: children in crisis fund, education, food security, health & nutrition, Covid-19 health emergency, climate change, economic livelihood, water & sanitation and youth empowerment here .
Or simply donate to feed three malnourished kids in Myanmar for just $35 or to purchase shoes and socks for two needy students in Thailand, amidst other options here.
I feel very meaningful that I could create positive impact that contributes to the betterment of the needy overseas with a little donation and it is great that in today’s internet world, I could do it so conveniently.
