Dear readers, Croatia and Morocco will face off at Singapore time 11pm tonight for the third-place match in World Cup 2022. Croatia has lost to Argentina while Morocco has lost to France in the Semi-Finals. Will Croatia or Morocco win the third place of the World Cup?
Each of the country has its fair share of supporters. In the round-of-16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, I am a firm supporter of both Croatia and Morocco as each country plays against more popular competitors. Now that Croatia meet Morocco in the same match, I will have no choice but to pick one of the two countries as a team that I support in the third-place match.
Having seen how both teams play, I personally view that Morocco has an edge against Croatia in terms of attacking! Just see how Morocco shifted gear and launches the counter-attacks against France in the second half of the semi-final. Also, I believe Morocco has more “hunger” in them than Croatia. Having been the first African country to feature in the World Cup Semi-finals, I believe Morocco will do its very best to gun for bronze in tonight’s match against the former World Cup 2018 runner-up.
Hence, I would support Morocco over Croatia! Just as Year 2022 was the World Cup Year for South Korea (South Korea first entered Semi-finals in that year where the country was also the host), twenty years later, Year 2022 would be the World Cup Year for Morocco!
