Dear readers, I work from home twice a week and this has been the arrangement after the new Covid-19 normal.
As compared to pre-Covid 19, where I had to report to the office for work every day, I welcome the current hybrid working arrangement. And I always tell my younger colleagues, who joined the workforce in the new normal that they are lucky to enjoy a more flexible hybrid working arrangement.
While working from home is good as I get to save the transport fees, when it comes to the afternoons on weekdays, the heat at home is challenging since I do not switch on the aircon during afternoons for myself during work and just have the fan on to cool myself, which is still not enough to reduce the heat.
I thought that for many whose house does not serve as an ideal office space due to space constraints and where they also feel the hot afternoon heat, it is even more uncomfortable to them.
That is why I suggest employers don’t restrict employees if they want to return office daily for work.
Aircon is one of the things I look forward to working from office. Aircon enhances my productivity, and it is always a blessing to work in a nice temperature.
