Dear readers, as I have been sharing on SG Stocks Investing, I have been expecting a stock market correction. To me, a stock market correction is not a question of whether but it is a question of when. When stock markets have not been correcting for over a decade, we should know that in the natural order of things, nothing can go up and up perpetually.
A recent survey by Lombard Odier has found that 52% of the high net worth individual investors are expecting a market correction and mor investors in Singapore are tweaking their portfolios in the current high-volatility environment. This, to me is a noteworthy development, though personally I have already tweaked my portfolio as early as 2019.
My portfolio tweaks are mainly to shift more of my investment into US stocks given my view that Singapore stocks markets are rather saturated now and Singapore stocks which gain mostly do so due to company-specific developments.
And it is always good to standby some capital on hand and use it when there are attractive buying opportunities.
