Dear readers, how have you been? Again, time flies so fast and we are entering a brand new week ahead. Let us take a look at the stock markets for the week of 21 Feb 22 to 25 Feb 22.
Without a doubt, the defining development for the week was the geo-political tensions where Russia invaded Ukraine. The Singapore Straits Times Index (STI) sank 3.45% on 24 Feb 22, when news broke out of the announcement of the commencement of the attacks. Many STI constituent stocks fell in line with the STI on 24 Feb 22 including this stock which fell nearly twice as much as the STI and I have explained it why here. Against the current stock markets backdrop, some investors are looking for good opportunities to enter into the equities markets. And they may be considering to invest in twelve Singapore stocks that may benefit from Singapore Budget 2022. Or they may be looking into some short-term interest saving plans to grow their savings and this plan may be one that they can consider.
