WHAT IS THE MARKET RATE FOR PHOTOCOPYING SERVICES?

Dear readers, it has been many years since I last paid for photocopying services.

The last time I paid for photocopying services, related charges were based on a rate of 5 cents per copy. So, imagine my surprise when in recent days, that I went around the neighbourhoods to source for photocopying services and learnt that the photocopying charges can go as high as $1 per copy!

However, the unit rate of $1 was really on the “high side”. The market rates seem to moderate at around 30 cents per copy as two shops offered these rates.

I had a booklet of around 40 pages to photocopy and that would easily translate into around $12 for photocopying charges for the whole booklet, around half the cost of an ink cartridge. Hence, I reckon it is more cost-effective for me to do my own printing of the booklet using my home printer!
