Dear readers, with effect from today, the GST will be 9%, up 1% from last year.
What is the first item that you paid 9% GST on?
I remember asking similar question on this blog on 1 Jan 2023 too: which was the first item you paid 8% GST on (since GST was increased from 7% to 8% w.e.f 1 Jan 2022).
And my first 8% GST spend went to … McDonald’s Prosperity Burger set meal for myself and family!
I look forward to my first 9% GST spent, though definitely will look into ways to optimise my spendings with cost of many things increased or will be increasing this year.
