Dear readers, yesterday the US stocks markets had an impressive performance with the Dow Jones, NASDAQ and NYSE Composite heading north by more than 7% each. The stellar performance came about as US investors factored in a slowdown of the new Covid-19 infections in the US.
But I would like to caution investors that the worst for the stocks markets is yet to be over since the global Covid-19 pandemic has not bottomed out for many of the countries. In fact many of the economies have slowed down or are showing signs of slowing. An estimated 6.6 million Americans are already reportedly to be unemployed with businesses shutting down. Unemployment could also happen to the other countries as business shut down. All these will not bode well for the global stocks markets.
