Dear readers, the Singapore Red Cross is calling for A+ and O+ blood donors as the existing blood stock for these blood groups is currently low.
According to the Singapore Red Cross, 600 units of A+ blood and 1,200 units of O+ blood must be collected over the next two weeks to bring Singapore’s blood stocks back to healthy levels, otherwise, major elective surgeries requiring A+ and O+ blood will have to be postponed.
Interested donors may:
1) Walk-ins to any of the four Singapore blood banks: Bloodbank@Health Sciences Authority, Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut, Bloodbank@Woodlands and Bloodbank@Westgate Tower.
Note: All blood banks will be closed on Sunday (10 Jul 22) due to the Hari Raya Haji public holiday. All except for the one at the Health Sciences Authority will reopen next Monday (11 Jul 22),
2) Call the Singapore Red Cross at 6220 0183 or visit the giveblood.sg webpage to check their eligibility, make an appointment and check the blood banks’ opening hours.
3) Participate in ongoing community blood drives
4) Download the DonateBlood mobile application to make an appointment and complete a health questionnaire to shorten their waiting times at the blood banks.

Everyone can donate monies but not all can or will donate blood, hence if your blood group is A+ and O+ and eligible for blood donation, SG Stocks Investing strongly encourages you to donate your blood to Save Lives!
