Dear readers, there are two mixed vegetables rice stalls in my neighbourhood.
Stall A sells its mixed vegetables dish quite cheaply, however their ingredients are not fresh at all.
Stall B sells its mixed vegetables more expensive, and their ingredients are much fresher.
Previously, I used to patronize Stall B, until I discovered that their prices are getting higher and higher. This was when I switched over to Stall B. I could see and taste to confirm that the dishes sold by Stall B are not fresh. And I could literally feel it too: not feeling full after the meals. A mixed vegetables meal from Stall B costs around $3+ to $4+.
Recently, I switched back to Stall A after getting rather dull having the meals from Stall B. I bought broccoli, sweet and sour meat and tomato eggs. I was shocked when the stall assistant told me that the meal costs $5.20! This is way too expensive for me and seems to be even higher than what I usually paid for the food at this stall before.
But quality-wise, I could not complain. The food from Stall A is a notch better and fresher than meals from Stall B. I believe Stall B can keep the cost of its meal low by purchasing cheaper and less fine ingredients.
I do feel that I am still overcharged as I believe I could still get the above combinations at $3+ to $4+ at other stalls!
