Covid-19 has shown how Reits and Trusts, often considered as safe havens for investors could similarly be affected. Hence, though these Reits and Trusts are currently undervalued, the bigger picture for investors is to weigh the consideration of the longer term viability of these Reits and Trusts against the backdrop of the new Covid-19 normal.
My view is for existing investors of these Reits and Trusts to reduce position and deploy the liquidity freed up for opportunities when stocks markets head south. For investors who are interested in these Reits and Trusts, I feel upside potential for these stocks are limited since many of these stocks have rallied in price over the recent trading sessions.
