Dear readers, yesterday, I had a traditional breakfast set from a F&B chain café in Singapore.
The price of the traditional breakfast set has gone up to $6 per set.
When the set arrived, I was surprised that the toast has reduced in size, the toast became two small strips of breads instead, each could be devoured in just a mouthful.
I was also disappointed with a traditional breakfast set from another F&B chain café recently. That other café no longer continued with the practice of cracking and serving of half-boiled eggs to customers, i.e. customers have to crack the eggs themselves. In addition, the quality of the bread has gone south with butter and kaya inside minimal.
And not to mention, one fast food restaurant has missed out certain items I ordered for take-aways, not once but twice.
Customers like myself are already paying more for meals outside. I really hope that cafes and food stalls outside will continue to do their best to give customers the best in service and quality.
I understand the challenges of a F&B job and salute all our food heroes from hawkers, food preparers, officers in the F&B industry and food delivery staff in working to feed our nation daily.
