Dear readers, recently, I went specially to some place in Singapore to savour the beloved and popular Nasi Lemak there.
There were two very famous Nasi Lemak stalls and I have tried the Nasi Lemak from one of these stalls in recent months and hence this time round, I tried the Nasi Lemak from the other stall.
The Nasi Lemak costs $5.50 and comprise chicken wings, ikan billis, eggs and the rice. The portion of rice has visibly shrank. And although the chicken wings and ikan billis were crispy, the aroma was not as strong. Same with the rice, which was not aromatic as before.
I had a good meal but the meal was not up to my expectation and the meal was not filling for me. I am not sure whether this is another case of a stall succumbing to the effects of inflation and higher cost of ingredients.
