Dear readers, Singapore Stocks Markets has a headstart in Year 2021 with a year-to-date gain of 5.7% which is really not bad for a stock markets that has ended Year 2020 as one of the worst regional stock markets.
Singapore stocks have also year-to-date performed better than US S&P and US Dow Jones which have respectively gained 1.1% and 1.3% only year-to-date.
However, there are also other regional stocks markets that have performed much better than Singapore’s year-to-date and examples of these markets with their gains are below:
Vietnam VNIINDEX: 8.2%
South Korea KOSPI: 7.4%
Indonesia JCI: 6.6%
Taiwan TAIEX: 6%
One of the regional stock markets that has not performed well is Malaysia. The year-to-date gain of Malaysia KLCI is currently 0.
