STRAITS TIMES INDEX (STI) SINGAPORE STOCKS: TOP WEEKLY GAINERS, LOSERS REVEALED

Dear readers, how fast time has passed! Another week has gone and it is time to reveal the top Straits Times Index (STI) Singapore stocks for the trading week ended 26 Mar 2021.

The top-performing STI stocks for the week with their weekly gains are as follows.

1) Capitaland stock (16.31%)

2) YangZiJiang stock (4.07%)

3) City Development stock (3.39%)

4) Sembcorp Industries stock (3.37%)

5) Mapletree Logistics Trust (3.21%)

The worst-performing STI stocks for the week with their weekly losses are as follows.

1) DairyFarm stock (-2.03%)

2) Jardine Matheson Holdings stock (-2.51%)

3) SIA stock (-2.81%)

4) Genting Singapore stock (-3.19%)

5) SATS stock (-4.22%)

It is no surprise that Capitaland stock is the top weekly gainer given the restructuring plans announced last week. I have given my take on the restructuring and you can take a read of the post here (Capitaland stock privatisation) if you have not done so.

Among worst-performing STI stocks, it is not surprising to note airline-related stocks among the list as investors take profits off the recent gain in these stocks.
