Dear readers, there are now many financial institutions and banks offering good fixed deposit interest rates.
Among the highest fixed deposits in town, is one with a 2.45% per annum interest.
Hong Leong Finance is offering a 2.45% per annum for a 15-month fixed deposit. To enjoy this rate, savers must make a deposit of at least S$200,000.
For deposit amount of S$50,000 to S$200,000, the interest rate is 2.43% per annum, while 2.40% per annum applies to deposit amount of S$10,000 to less than S$50,000.
While these times are now good times for savers with so many attractive fixed deposits rates around, savers must beware of putting and locking the bulk of their savings in these fixed deposits lest they need the amounts for emergency uses or for investment during investment opportunities.
