Dear readers, today is the first day of August and the application of September 2023 Singapore Savings Bond is Open.
In my earlier post on Sep 23 Singapore Savings Bonds, I have given my estimate of 3% to 3.10% per annum for the average 10-year return of the September 2023 Singapore Savings Bonds and also explained my justification.
Before we take a look in details at the average 10-year annual interest rates of the Sep 23 Singapore Savings Bond, a recap at the average 10-year annual interest of the Singapore Savings Bonds this year as follows.
Jan-23 3.26% per annum
Feb-23 2.97% per annum
Mar-23 2.90% per annum
Apr-23 3.15% per annum
May-23 3.07% per annum
Jun-23 2.81% per annum
Jul-23: 2.82% per annum
Aug-23: 2.99% per annum
For Sep 23 Singapore Savings Bonds, the average 10-year annual returns is 3.06%, which is within my estimate.
Specifically, Sep 23 Singapore Savings Bonds gives 3.01% per annum each year for Year 1 to Year 7 of holding; 3.14% per annum in Year 8 and 3.20% per annum each in Year 9 and Year 10.
I believe this 3.06% per annum for a tenure of 10 years is reasonable and attractive for savers to grow their monies at secured high interest rates while high interest rates are here.
